The primary AppalAIR site is located at the top of Bodenheimer Drive near the highest point on campus (~3500 ft.). It is the only monitoring station east of Illinois that has been invited to collaborate with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) global network of aerosol monitoring stations.
